We specialize in composite experimental aircraft. We have experience in both kit and plans-built airframes.

We charge an hourly rate for our services. We make every attempt to complete at least 10 hours of work per aircraft per week. At this rate, all our costs are covered and salaries paid. Of course, we would like to do a lot more work, but that depends on our clients schedule. The more you can work, the more we can work, while maintaining 51%, and the sooner your aircraft is complete.

No. If you are a customer at FlightWorks, we provide you with all the resources in our shop, including some miscellaneous hardware and normal consumables. All you need to do is, build your plane!

Yes, in an effort to keep a project going. We are not competitive with the large supply houses, but we do sell hardware and materials that are not typical.

Yes!  That’s the way we like it, not to mention the FAA. You can work alone or we can work with you during any portion of your build. Typically, it will be a combination of both.  If you'd like to minimize the time you spend, we will manage the 51% rule for you to make sure you're in full compliance.

When we decided to start doing this, we realized that many of the kits available produce safe, well designed and well engineered airplanes.  The best protection we can give ourselves against liability is make sure that they are built per the kit manufacturer’s instructions.  We follow the directions precisely, and don’t use inferior parts or materials.  We are incorporated as a Limited Liability Company which protects us from liabilities arising from the business.  We carry typical property insurance and require all our customers to carry individual insurance on their aircraft.
